About the Business
Centre for Counselling was launched in 2007 with a desire to provide a counselling service offering a confidential, safe and supportive environment for adults, couples, children and young people. Whilst an adult and a child's world may be very different, the service was launched with a belief that every person who enters counselling deserves the opportunity to be heard and understood and given the chance to explore strategies for working through the problems they are experiencing. Amy Smythe, founder of the Centre for Counselling, is a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with experience in both the private and charity sectors. Offering short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and wider family groups in private practice and in schools, Amy also works as a member of the Reflect children's counselling team at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, Chester.
