About the Business
Counselling and psychotherapy are talking therapies that can help you explore areas of difficulty in your life in a way that may not be possible with friends and family. Conwy Counselling provides a confidential and relaxed environment and I welcome clients whatever their background, orientation or issues. I work both with individuals and couples.
My approach is integrative meaning that I integrate ideas from various theoretical models of counselling in my work. However there is a strong psychodynamic foundation to the way I work. Psychodynamic means the interaction between conscious and unconscious processes (past and present) and how these may affect thoughts, motivation, behaviour and feelings etc. This may include exploring the nature of your relationships with people in your life who are or were important to you (attachment style).
Counselling is based on listening and reflection and provides a safe place to explore and process your feelings.
