About the Business
Crisis counselling service is committed to significantly reducing the barriers and exclusion in mental health care by providing a range of flexible, easily accessible and affordable choices in professional therapeutic services. We have a team of over eighty highly trained professional personnel with a range of specialisms including trauma and major incident, cognitive behavioural therapy, person centered counselling, and holistic therapies. These services are delivered from our Erskine and Paisley locations, in the workplace or on occasion through home visits.
Clients are referred from statutory agencies such as GPs, Social Workers and other organisations, or alternatively through self-referral. We provide counselling placements to Counsellors who are undertaking Diplomas in Counselling, many of whom continue to support us post graduation. 83% of our counsellors provide their services voluntarily.
