About the Business
Often people access therapy with a specific problem or a multitude of issues. It is a space to reflect upon and think about our current and past experiences and ways we would like to move forward. It is hoped that in time you will have a better understanding of yourself and experience a trusting and confidential relationship.
The Psychodynamic/Integrative prospective looks at how the client relates in the outside world and in the room with the therapist. Unconscious processes and past experiences are seen as important in this work as there is a belief that our earlier experiences have an impact on the way that we relate to others in the world at present. I view my work as relational. It is hoped that through the relationship with the therapist a person's way of relating, their past and their current problems can be understood. This paves the way for changes to develop in the very way that we relate to the world, others and ultimately ourselves.
