About the Business
I was trained in hypnotherapeutic skills at a leading London teaching hospital and was invited onto the steering committee of the EEC Lottery funded Hypno-chemo programme - an England wide clinical audit of hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. I have a degree in Applied Psychology and a Masters in Health Psychology. I have presented papers on hypnosis and cancer at both RCN and Help the Hospices conferences. I have worked in private practice for the last 18 years, and have worked for the last 12 years at St. Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice and Macmillan Centre at Leighton Hospital.
I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), the major professional body for Hypnotherapy in the UK. As a member I have followed, and successfully completed, a high quality course in hypnotherapy and am bound by a professional code of conduct, ethics and practice. I am also a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), which was set up by the government.
